Pinwheels For Prevention

Today, I went to the Hawaii State Capitol to plant pinwheels to bring attention to preventing child abuse in Hawaii. April is Child Abuse Prevention month and the Hawaii Chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America hosted a pinwheel planting at the capitol this afternoon. The garden will be displayed for a week and volunteers planted about 5,000 pinwheels! It was an incredible event and I am so honored to be a part of this organization!

Ali’i Tour

Yesterday at work, we took the kids to the Ali’i Tour at Kualoa Ranch. It was a lot of fun and so pretty! After, we went to Kualoa Beach Park for lunch and games. It was a beautiful day out and I really enjoyed getting to be outside so much. I love my job and am so thankful I am getting to do fun things like this! I am learning so much from the kids…including pronouncing things correctly as well as a lot about the Hawaiian culture. It’s been a blast!

Boys and Girls Club Fun!

I recently started blogging for the Boys and Girls Club Windward Clubhouse to help out with getting more awareness around what a great organization it is. It’s been such a wonderful two weeks so far and I’m so excited to see what the future holds! If any of you want to see what I’m up to during the week at work, I will be posting our activities on a regular basis!
