Last week, we went with some friends to Makana for a special dinner. They’re moving locations and wanted to use up what they currently had in stock. The owner talked through each course and how they prepared the items. His philosophy is to use every part of an animal, fish, plant, etc. It was really interesting to listen to him speak and talk through his approach and philosophy. Can’t wait for the new location to open!
During Mother’s Day weekend we were in the middle of a bathroom renovation so our house was a disaster. We were looking for new things to do and came across Waiahole Nursery for brunch. They had a special menu for Mother’s Day (and free for mothers which was really neat)! The food was all farm to table and delicious. After lunch, we spent time walking around the nursery enjoying all of the different plants.
