A new sushi restaurant opened up in Kaneohe recently so Josh and I tried it Saturday night. We went early around 6:00 PM and got the last table. It was already full (reservations recommended) so we were lucky. It was absolutely delicious and I’m so excited to go back!
We celebrated the fourth this year in pretty much the best way possible — grilling out with friends, pool time, and fireworks on the beach. It was a beautiful day and SO nice to get to relax and have some quality friend time!
Josh and I discovered a Japanese restaurant near our house a couple weeks ago. We both ordered combination plates and enjoyed everything we had! We went early as we hadn’t eaten lunch and it was already super busy!
After a rather cold (for Hawaii) and rainy day, we enjoyed this breathtaking sunset from our lanai last weekend. The picture does not even begin to capture how amazing this sky was.
Last weekend we went to the beach with my mom who is visiting us. Luckily for us, there was a monk seal hanging out. He/she decided they were done looking at everyone and decided burying their head was a great idea. Love this picture!
This is how I’m feeling about tomorrow being Monday.
A couple weeks ago, my aunt Jan and uncle Bob came to visit. We did all sorts of fun things including hiking, snorkeling, kayaking and eating all sorts of food. So happy they were able to come spend some time with us. We had an amazing time!

Josh’s parents were in town last week so we decided to explore Kaneohe Bay one day and visit the sandbar. After looking at it for the past 8 months, we decided it was time to actually see what it was all about. Josh and I rented paddle boards and his parents kayaked. It was the perfect day and just stunning!
A few weeks ago, my cousin Krista and her husband Don came to visit. We went on many hikes, ate a ton of food and caught a sunrise. Highlights below!
While my mom was visiting, we decided to visit the Byodo-In Temple. It was absolutely beautiful and we felt like we were in another country. My favorite were the black swans!
