A few weeks ago we tried Scratch Kitchen for brunch. All three dishes were wonderful (and incredibly filling). Excited to go back and try something different!

MARSALA ROASTED MUSHROOM GRITS trio of shrooms + marsala cream + reggiano + arugula + truffle essence

CREOLE SHRIMP N’ GRITS andouille + hominy + red eye gravy + stoned ground grits

SHASHOUKA housemade merguez + harissa tomato sauce + soft eggs + feta + cilantro + baguette

Waiahole Nursery

During Mother’s Day weekend we were in the middle of a bathroom renovation so our house was a disaster. We were looking for new things to do and came across Waiahole Nursery for brunch. They had a special menu for Mother’s Day (and free for mothers which was really neat)! The food was all farm to table and delicious. After lunch, we spent time walking around the nursery enjoying all of the different plants.

I met my friend Jenn for brunch a few weeks ago at Egghead Cafe. I ordered a blended drink that was significantly larger than I thought it would be (but completely worth it) and Huevos Rancheros. Both were delicious!

Over Easy

We’ve had brunch a couple times over the last few weeks at Over Easy in Kailua. We shared a bunch of stuff so we could try a few things. Everything was delicious!

Pickled Veggies

Coconut Shrimp Burger: crisp greens, wasabi cream, mixed greens

Fried Chicken Sandwich: cole slaw, Asian aioli, French role, fries

Custard French Toast: Cinnamon Toast Crunch, orange crème fraiche

Brunch Bowl: avocado, soft eggs, house made yogurt, spinach, tomato jam, candied bacon, microgreens

Today Josh and I had brunch at Cream Pot with my coworker and her husband and then headed to swap meet at Aloha Stadium. The food was delicious! Such a fun way to spend a Sunday :).
