Waiahole Nursery
During Mother’s Day weekend we were in the middle of a bathroom renovation so our house was a disaster. We were looking for new things to do and came across Waiahole Nursery for brunch. They had a special menu for Mother’s Day (and free for mothers which was really neat)! The food was all farm to table and delicious. After lunch, we spent time walking around the nursery enjoying all of the different plants.
The Food Company
We celebrated St. Patrick’s Day day by really not celebrating at all and going to dinner with our good friend Caitlin. We tried The Food Company for dinner for the first time and it was amazing!
Volcano Shakes
A couple months ago I had coworkers visiting. We met them in Waikiki at Volcano Shakes. The picture really speaks for itself….
Happy 2018!
The Big Island: Trip 5
A couple weekends ago, we met our friends Lindsay and Channa on The Big Island for a quick trip. They were visiting from Seattle so we decided to crash their vacation for a couple days.
Saturday was a bit rainy so we slept in and then walked into Kailua for brunch. We ate at Daylight Mind Coffee Company (which was delicious) and then wandered back to our hotel.
After eating plenty of food, we decided to go on a short walk to the End of the Earth. We watched a few people jump off the rocks and enjoyed the spectacular view of the ocean.
After a relaxing day, we walked to dinner and enjoyed the evening!
On Sunday we decided to go snorkeling at Two Step. Great location with tons of fish! Videos below!
After lots of snorkeling, we worked up an appetite. We ate lunch at Da Poke Shack before saying bye and venturing back to Oahu! The poke was DELICIOUS.
Sunflowers
We visited the sunflowers on the North Shore this past weekend. It turned into quite an adventure as it happened to be raining and was incredibly muddy. The flowers were beautiful, even in the rain and it was a pretty fun day! We spent some time in Haleiwa and ended the day hanging out in the rain in the hot tub soaking off all of the mud!
Great Futures Start HERE
I’ve spent a lot of time lately preparing for the Great Futures Start HERE breakfast for the Boys & Girls Club – Windward Clubhouse. It is an amazing event where people in the community come to learn all about the clubhouse and the impact it has on the children that attend. I’m so thankful that I get to be involved in such an amazing organization. The video below shows a little bit about what we do “Behind the Blue Door”.
